We precision diagnostics work to various diseases successfully. It is to note that the complexity of the human genome, the number of mutations & polymorphisms provides an extensive template on which the precision diagnostics need to be carried out. Say if a single gene acquires 10 polymorphisms and mutations, then the no. of analysis that needs to be done runs into 250,000 assays for the entire genome. Due to the multiplicity of assays caused by the complexity of the template and due to the paucity of experience in dealing with precision diagnostics many companies today are relying on DNA sequencing (Next Gen Sequencing) as the only means of confirmation of disease in clinical patients. This is a very expensive undertaking that is impossible for the common man to make use of in India. However we observe differently and takes a departure here from its competitors to serve the common man in India and the underdeveloped world in a way that is easy and affordable.
